Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport — China’s First 5G AeroMACS Lighting Guidance Pilot

In 2023, China’s first 5G AeroMACS-based airfield lighting guidance system, approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, entered pilot operation at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and is currently in the acceptance and evaluation phase.
In April 2025, the project progressed toward industry standardization, with relevant standards formally submitted to the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
