Solution Detail

I. Product Positioning

The Counter-UAV System (an integrated detection and mitigation solution for low, slow, and small targets) is a domestically developed intelligent defense system designed for low-altitude security. It addresses the core challenge of unauthorized intrusions by low, slow, and small (LSS) UAVs.

Leveraging four core technologies—radar detection, electro-optical tracking, laser countermeasures, and electronic jamming—the system establishes a full-process closed-loop framework of “detection–identification–tracking–mitigation.” It enables precise identification, real-time tracking, and efficient neutralization of LSS targets with minimal human intervention.

The system provides comprehensive protection for critical low-altitude airspace across scenarios such as national defense, civil aviation, energy infrastructure, and large-scale events, effectively overcoming traditional limitations such as delayed detection, disconnected response, and high false alarm rates.

II. Core Functions

1. Full-Coverage Precision Detection with Early Warning

The system adopts a dual-mode architecture of “radar early warning + electro-optical identification,” forming a 360-degree three-dimensional monitoring network. Equipped with multi-band active phased-array radar and high-resolution electro-optical sensors, it can detect micro-UAVs with a radar cross-section as small as 0.01 m² at distances of 3–10 km, enabling early warning at long range and zero-miss detection at close range.

Powered by AI-based recognition algorithms trained on millions of target samples, the system distinguishes UAVs from birds, kites, and airborne debris with over 99% accuracy, reducing false alarm rates by 87% compared to conventional solutions. It operates reliably in complex environments such as rain, fog, strong electromagnetic interference, nighttime conditions, and dust, effectively addressing challenges in detection range and target discrimination.

2. Intelligent Target Locking and Continuous Tracking

Utilizing TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival) positioning technology and adaptive AI tracking algorithms, the system achieves seamless integration between radar and electro-optical subsystems. Upon detection, it rapidly captures and tracks targets dynamically.

It supports multiple tracking modes, including automatic tracking and manual selection tracking, maintaining stable lock-on for high-speed, low-altitude maneuvering targets regardless of size variation, occlusion, or environmental changes.

The system continuously transmits detailed target data—including type, payload, speed, and direction—and constructs a 3D trajectory, providing millimeter-level targeting guidance for countermeasures. This ensures seamless transition from “detection to tracking to targeting.”

3. Layered Intelligent Countermeasures for Precise Neutralization

The system employs a layered response mechanism combining electronic jamming and laser engagement, enabling flexible response based on threat level and rapid neutralization upon detection.

The system also supports multi-target engagement, effectively countering drone swarm attacks.

4. End-to-End Closed-Loop Control with User-Friendly Operation

The system integrates detection, identification, tracking, and mitigation into a unified platform with a visualized command interface. It provides real-time visualization of airspace status, target trajectories, and countermeasure actions, and supports seamless switching between manual intervention and fully autonomous operation, ensuring ease of use without requiring specialized personnel.

III. Core Technical Advantages

Closed-Loop Detection and Mitigation Integration

Eliminates the traditional disconnect between detection and response by enabling a fully automated “detection–identification–tracking–mitigation” loop. Response time is reduced to the millisecond level, improving efficiency by over 300% compared to manual systems.

All-Weather Operational Capability

Incorporates 120 dB ultra-wide dynamic dual-spectrum imaging and advanced anti-interference design, with end-to-end latency controlled within 200 ms. The system operates reliably in extreme conditions ranging from –40°C to 65°C, unaffected by day/night cycles, weather, or electromagnetic interference.

Modular and Flexible Deployment

Features a modular + integrated architecture, allowing radar, electro-optical, and countermeasure modules to be deployed independently or in coordination. Supports multiple deployment modes including fixed installations, vehicle-mounted, and shipborne platforms, and adapts to “one center, multiple zones” security architectures. Deployment is fast, and maintenance costs are low, with seamless integration into existing security and air traffic management systems.

Cost-Effective and Scalable Adaptation

Balances performance with cost efficiency. Laser countermeasures offer low per-use cost, while modular upgrades and customizable configurations allow adaptation to different operational needs—from small-scale applications to large critical infrastructure protection.
